Barbara Stanwyck sings (unfortunately) in this pre-code melodrama in which naughty Barbara, desperate to change her life and escape her mob connections, becomes the mail order bride of a Canadian dirt farmer. Okay cast and adaquate production values. Predictable plot. Nevertheless quite entertaining. Directed by William Wellman.
